Sep.20.2002 DOME S101 US DEBUT, Sep. 22 in ALMS Laguna Seca

We would like to inform you that a DOME S101 has been entered in the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) race at Laguna Seca. This entry was the sole decision of the Chamberlain Team who plan to enter the car in the series next season. So therefore this does not mean that Dome is entering the car as a works team.

It would be best if we could enter a '02 spec car with it's superiour downforce, which is doing pretty well in the FIA-SCC series, and give the works Audi's a run for their money but sadly it will be the car Masahiko Kondo drove at Le Mans which is a '01 spec car.

They will not have Goodyear qualifying tires so we don't expect them to start the race in a leading position. However we hope that they stay in the race and hopefully aim for a podium finish whilst gathering data for next season.

The engine will be the same JUDD engine as used in the FIA-SCC races.
First driver will be Chistian Dan who also raced at Le Mans and is currently racing in the FIA-SCC series. Second driver will be Milka Douno who raced a Panoz-Mugen at Le Mans this year.

Here at Dome we have started development on a DOME S101 for the ALMS series aiming for the 2003 season.
We have continued wind tunnel testing and now have a design with which we have succeeded in increasing L/D and downforce by at least 10%. The development is getting along smoothly and we have again been able to see the potential of the S101 for ourselves.

Development will continue and we hope to achieve full entry in next year's ALMS.
